Ok yesterday I 100% failed automatically with this whole 'serious' diet business.
I went out with Dan and I got a burger king fry and a coke icee
and later that day I got a Java chip Frappachino from Starbucks.
Automatic FAIL.
I guess you can say that was my last day for 'treats'
Today I start again.
Well I can't say yesterday was all that bad,
we were suppose to have Pizza for dinner
but I turned it down because I was too full from the frap
and Dan and I wrestled a little yesterday.
...NOT LIKE THAT.
We actually wrestled.
We had just gotten into a fight,
so we were just calming down and I don't know what happened,
I guess I was just trying to wake him up, because this heat wave
we're having, always weakens him a great deal.
So I kept tickling him, the grumpy gus, he was so grouchy yesterday,
and that ended up with him trying to tickle me back.
So I think I lost a lot of calories doing that.
I was thirsty as hell/sweating bullets afterwards.
Earlier I had gone to his grandma's house to see the ramp they were building, she's suppose to be coming home today from the nursing home.
But they're building a ramp for her wheel chair in front of the house.
The workers are really nice, they were talking to me a great deal, they probably think that im spanish.
I felt bad it must have been 100 degrees or so outside and they'd been working since 9AM.
Then we went to the nursing home, which I don't remember much of, because I had taken two allergy pills prior that had the same ingredient as your average sleeping pill so yeah I fell asleep on the couch.
One of these days when I have time im going to have to write down every song I have on my Ipod,
just incase I ever have to have the battery changed, all the songs are deleted once that happens
and already my battery is starting to die fairly quickly.
Have to go copy some movies for my mom now but I'll write down what I eat later
What I ate Today
11:29 AM - Nothing yet!.
12:30 PM - Slim Fast Cappachino Shake
I have had the weirdest fascination with Robots for the longest time,
I don't know why, they are just machinery, made of metal and computers and plastic,
I guess its because they are so unlike us but yet they make them to resemble us,
and almost succeed in doing so.
Our intelligence level has gotten so far advance that we can make
actual being ourselves that talk, speak and act like us.
One of the things I love about gaming,
is in some games they have AI,
or Artificial intelligence.
Where they have characters that can actually hear,
see and feel where you are.
It makes the game more intense almost as if you were really in the game.
One of my favorite games when I was maybe about 16 was Thief,
the concept of the game was self explanatory, your a thief,
your goal is to steal ___ amount of money from kings/queens etc.
But your goal is also to be as secret as you possibly can.
But the guards in this game can sense everything,
Darkness to light, sounds, etc.
Stealth, it was a lot of fun, but I hated the
lastest thief, they totally destroyed it since they switched
companies.

Can you believe that at a time when we were first discovering fire,
we are now so advance that we can make machinery that actually
resembles humans?
It's like all our thoughts of the future are coming to life before our eyes,
one of the things that we reference when we think of the future is flying cars,
automatic everything and robots.
But when you think about it, is there really a future,
when there is always a present?
You can't exactly say 'im in the future now' when you'll also be
in the present?
I don't know if that makes sense.
I love the new robots they are coming out with in Japan.
They are so realistic!
Not just in their function and their mobility, their speech,
but how they look, they' actually established a robot,
that looks like a human,
Chobits here we come! lol.
Here is one in full function mode.
cute, but a little creepy too.
What's that secret dream job you've always believed you'd be good at, but never gone for?
Submitted by wedgeh.
It's always been my dream to become a flight attendant.
First when I was younger, I wanted to be a nun, after watching Sister act.
Then I realized, that being a nun, wasn't a job.
So then I moved on to wanting to become a flight attendant.
and I have always wanted to be one since.
I don't know why really, I mean you have to travel all the time,
you don't get a lot of sleep, but I guess its the adventure of going to all new places,
and meeting all different people, those cute outfits,
make the idea sound enjoyable.
I've never gone for it because I know I can't become one,
Apparently there is a height requirement I don't reach
I'm 5'1 and I would need to reach the top bunk where the luggage is stored without shoes.
On my last trip to Thailand I tried it. Didn't work. *sigh*
I love food. <3 <3 <3.
It's not just beautiful, but some of it
actually tastes incredible.
It's art and it tastes good!
Here are some foods I totally hated at first,
but after eating it awhile I actually love.
I remember the first time I tried Sushi,
at one of those 'all you can eat buffets',
I was just going,
what the hell,
did I just put in my mouth.
But I went there a couple of times,
and it actually wasn't that bad afterwards,
It just took some time to get used to.
I've never eaten the real sushi,
the raw fish stuff,
I've just had the imitation crab meat,
with avacado, sometimes cucumber,
and thats good enough for me.
Hummus. Is amazing. I swear it's the next peanut butter. But, im really picky about my hummus.
I havn't found any company that actually makes it right except Sabra's.
Some people use too much lemon others too much olive oil.
I went to the hospital yesterday and it was the worst hummus
I ever had. So if your first experience is bad, more than likely,
you had bad hummus or its just not your thing.
But its a dip thats good for you =)

Foods I cannot stand -
I hate brussell sprouts with a passion.
Can you believe the first time I tried these was just a couple of months ago?
and I wish I never had, as curious as I was to how awful they tasted,
I see why they are so awful, first the smell, they smell like boiled cabbage, I can't describe it but its not pleasant.
Secondly, the taste. Just imagine someone took one of these and stuck it ..in their body... where the sun doesn't shine, and put it on your plate again. That's what it tastes like. I can't stand them. Never AGAIN.
Liver. I will never understand what the huge thing is about liver and onions.
My first time trying this was when I was about 7 my mom was eating it,
and I asked to try some and I still remember to this day what it tastes like,
it almost reminds me of jello, except its in a meat form.
Just think, gelatin meat. I think I've said enough.
Mushrooms *shudders*.
I don't care if you smother them in cheese, fry them, burn them,
I cannot stand them, not even just because they are a fungus,
I just can't stand the taste, I'll have them in a pasta, in a nice tomato sauce, and I could still taste them if I bite into them >_<.
I'll never be a lemon fan,
I use it on one thing and that's fish and chips but other than that, I've never really ever been a lemon fan. I don't use it in my water, I don't like lemon meringue pie, I'm just not a big lemon person. It's not something I hate but its not something I necessarily like either. I hate lemon cough drops.
Foods I love -
I love fruit, not just because its good but its nice and sweet, and its kind of sexy too lol.
Strawberrys are especially my favorite.
Mangos would be second.
Young Coconut 3rd.
God gave us the gift of chocolate to keep us from going absolutely insane!
I looovve tacos. My mom makes the best tacos everrrr!
When I went to that 'On the border place about a week ago
I found a new love,
Pico De Gallo!
I'm a really big dip fan too.
ranch, onion cheese =).
Foods I want to try but havn't yet -
I have yet to try a Falafel wrap
=(... I've been wanting to
for so long!
An authentic milk tea with those little boba/tapioca balls at the bottom =)..
I know there is more but thats all I can think of.
Show us something old school.

A lot of things here are old school,
I remember I had one of these,
but it NEVER worked.
These were sooo hard to find at one point.
My first <3
I wanted one of these so bad,
never got it though.
Ok im getting a little carried away,
God, I love that Nostagia feeling.
Have you ever had a dream that came true?
Submitted by rescout.
*smiles* yeah actually, when I had just broken up with my ex and we were fighting and the whole mess, I was just so
frustrated, I wanted him back but at the same time I was just going, what am I doing to myself, I wanted to move on but didn't have the courage to, so one of the nights, I had a dream.
I was kissing someone else, I was with someone else, but he didn't have a face, but he made me feel great.
Then a few weeks later I met the guy im with now ^_^.
Sometimes, I like to think that God is talking to me in my dreams,
like he's sending me messages but in a cryptic form,
and some part of that dream has a message that I have to decipher or that may play a part in
what is going to happen to me.
My mom and a couple of other people,
used to have dreams of my cousin, Maureen,
She died of cancer when she was 23.
but we all think that somehow shes trying to maybe reach out to us.
I have yet to have one of these dreams.
Today is was an absolute perfect gorgeous day.
I walked outside and it was warm and sunny.
It felt so good, and yet some how it depressed me.
Whenever its a beautiful day like this,
I think of Dan, wishing I could walk with him in this weather.
I really hope it stays like this all week so I can at least have a chance to
walk with him.
But it seems like whenever it's a really nice day out he is never available.
It sucks but thats the way its going to be for awhile.
Today I was pretty much sitting at home on the couch, watching a movie,
on this beautiful day because everyone was so busy.
Then my Aunt Joyce came over to visit, we caught up a bit,
then we decided to go have lunch just her and I.
at the new "On The Border"
Mexican restaurant that opened up.
I've been wanting to go there, but I don't know anyone,
who really likes Mexican food.
It was a great place, they first served us baked tortilla chips,
with this awesome salsa. That would have been enough for me.
Then I got the 'Border sampler' it had Chicken Qusadillas, chicken fluatas and steak nachos.
With Pico de gallo and queso.
It was delicious but they give you a lot of food so I took it home.
My favorite parts were probably the guacamole, and the pico de gallo.
I have a thing for foods that taste fresh. I don't know why.
Those were the sauces too they wernt even the meal part.
Then we went to Building 19.
I don't know if it exists outside of Rhode Island,
But its almost like a salvation army type place.
The only difference being, is that all the signs are hand made,
Someone out there must have a job of making 'Jerry' signs.
That character you see with the big glasses.
They love to draw it on everything,
I think there is even a Building 19 - cereal
called 'Jerry O's' with his characature on the front.
Lucky for me, I was saved by an arcade box they were trying to sell,
and was plugged in, so I spent my time playing "King of Fighters".
Yesterday
Then we came home and thats where I am now.
That wasn't very interesting but, I tried.
I'd rather talk about my day yesterday,
which was somehow more interesting.
I went to the Kent County Hospital yesterday after school.
To see Dan's grandmother and to possibly see him too.
They wernt there when I arrived so I waited in the 'crying area'.
Thank god I had my DS on me, I think I would have gone insane otherwise,
So they showed up about 1 1/2 hours later.
Where he dropped a bomb on me,
He wouldn't be able to go out with me Sunday,
The day we were suppose to go out for our One year anniversary.
I was crushed. We had planned this for months.
But the reason he couldn't go was because of his stepsister.
His dad is dragging him to Massachusetts tomorrow to see his stepsisters,
12th new apartment. This girl has moved 12 times within 06-07.
He threatened to beat him if he didn't go.
I was more pissed off at his father than him.
Jerk.
In fact I wasn't pissed at Dan at all.
But all of that came to a screeching halt.
When he told me about his grandmother.
She has this condition called Polycystic Kidney Disease.
It pretty much takes your kidneys and destroys them.
Shes at the point where her kidneys have reached what is known as
'end stage renal failure' the title giving you an idea of how bad it really is.
'end'.
Her stomach is a big potbelly right now,
and its not because shes fat, her kidneys are bloated,
bloated to the point where her stomach has expanded that much.
Just to give you a good idea of what they look like right now.
Not good.
So the end result might be, her having to go into surgery
to remove one of her kidneys.
She's 83.
Now the real question is, should they risk going in removing a kidney and hope she makes it through the surgery,
or do they let her progress her life and die either slowly or very quickly.
It's a very difficult decision to make isn't it, when your juggling your life in your hands.
When in either option death is only the inevitable.
Our anniversary and even the concept, became small potatoes to this.
All I want to do is to be there for him and help in anyway that I can.
We finally went in to see her once we were doing talking about it,
she didn't look good, I'd seen her before in the hospital and she was just more lively,
this time, not so much. She recognized me, knew my name
but if you've ever seen anyone in the hospital, who have been there a considerable amount of time,
they just have that look in their eyes, that tired, sick, look.
God I remember like it was yesterday I think it was 2 weeks ago,
She was telling Dan, "You take care of that little girl".
she was always telling me to eat.
She's probably the nicest lady I've ever met.
Life is like this strange cycle,
We've been raised from our parents as babies,
and when they get old we have to raise them as they
turn back into them.

Show us your favorite work of art (fiction, music, sculpture, painting, architecture, dance, etc).
Submitted by Dean.
Well if we're talking about art,
I guess I'll show my favorite artist,
Mark Ryden.
Of all them though,
This one is my favorite. =D.
He opened up a show at the Michael Kohn Gallery,
displaying some of his most recent art.
